Roozbeh Daneshvar

I have never run a marathon.

When I started training for the NYC Marathon, I had never run ANY race (let alone any 26 mile one). I completed the application and a few months later, to my surprise (and disbelief), I was selected in the lottery. The moment I noticed the congratulations email, I told myself, "I can run for my favorite organization... at last."

Worldwide Orphans checks off all the important things I look for in a charitable organization: empowering children through play + supporting their education, growth and health + in 5 countries + having impact on thousands of children + active for twenty years.
It is my passion to support children through WWO. If you believe in WWO's mission, as I do, please consider supporting me as I run the NYC Marathon on behalf of WWO and the children they serve.

Join our WWO Superhero Team and help raise funds and awareness for WWO and the children we serve.  Through grassroots fundraising - such as 5k's, bike rides, marathons, mud runs, triathlons, or life milestones, such as anniversaries, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, birthdays, weddings, etc. - you can be our Superhero.  Kids and adults - pick the event - and we will provide the tools to create your personal fundraising page and help you get the word out!
